Amy Katz

Senior Counsel

Amy L. Katz serves Legal Momentum as Senior Counsel (pro bono), and is an attorney for Legal Momentum's Equality Works Program. Her work focuses on educational policy, particularly Title IX issues. She has participated on behalf of Legal Momentum in numerous amicus briefs in the Supreme Court and federal circuit courts. She is also consulting with the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the Department of Justice on Title IX and sexual assault on college campuses. 

Amy is a graduate of the Yale Law School and Queens College (CUNY) and a product of the New York City school system (Jamaica High School).  She has practiced with Weil, Gotshal & Manges (litigating and counseling in trade regulation, advertising, First Amendment, copyright and antitrust), Warner Communications (copyright and trademark law), and Revlon (responsible for all domestic legal work for numerous Revlon divisions). While at Yale, she served as assistant to the General Counsel of Yale University. Amy served on the first State Board of the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG). 

Amy co-founded and co-chairs Legal Momentum's Board of Legal Advisors.
