Pregnant Workers Fairness Act Introduced in the Senate

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act has been introduced in the Senate as S. 3565. Legal Momentum contributed to the drafting of the bill as introduced to the House in May, and participated in the press conference for that introduction. The National Women's Law Center has a compilation of stories (which Legal Momentum contributed to) about pregnant workers denied minor accommodations to their job duties needed for a safe working pregnancy. These accounts show why this law is necessary, so women do not have to choose between a safe pregnancy and a paycheck.
