PUBLICATIONS DATABASE

Legal Momentum produces a wide range of publications on issues of importance in women's rights law and factors determining women's socio-economic status. Publications include statistical reports resulting from original research on issues such as women's poverty, state-by-state reviews of the workplace rights and treatment of victims of domestic women; and an extensive and exhaustive collection of training materials and curricula in the area of immigrant women's rights and, through the National Judicial Education Program, the issue of gender bias in the courts and a multidisciplinary set of materials and trainings to assure that rape and sexual assault trials are conducting in a manner that is fair to both victims and defendants.

LITIGATION

LEGAL CASES DATABASE

In addition to its public policy work, Legal Momentum litigates in courts across the country, particularly the federal courts. In some cases Legal Momentum is counsel or co-counsel for one of the parties. In other cases Legal Momentum files or joins amicus curiae briefs. An amicus brief is a “friend of the court” brief filed with the court by a person or organization that is not a party to the case, but has special knowledge of the issues and believes that the court’s decisions may affect its interests.
