Legal Momentum's annual Aiming High Awards Luncheon salutes the accomplishments of extraordinary women who have broken through to the top of their profession. At the 2011 Aiming High Luncheon, held at the Hilton New York on May 4, 2011, Legal Momentum was proud to honor six exceptional women.

The Brooklyn College Community Partnership invited us to attend their fall afterschool career fair. Over one hundred students from five high schools participate in the Community partnership and attended the Career Day. There were 14 speakers including Brigitte Watson on behalf of Legal Momentum’s Equality Works and presented on careers in the construction, building, repair and maintenance trades.
The Sheila Wellstone Institute announced that the recipient of its 2007 National Sheila Wellstone Award is National Network to End Violence Against Immigrant Women, a broad-based coalition of more than five hundred organizations and individuals that advocate. provide services, and offer assistance to immigrant victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking.
