NEW YORK Legal Momentum, the nation’s oldest legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the rights of women and girls, will hold its Annual Equal Opportunity Awards Gala on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Grand Hyatt New York. This event is open to the public and tickets are still available.
Gala proceeds, expected to exceed $650,000, will benefit Legal Momentum’s public policy and legal work on behalf of women who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of violence against women; women who face gender discrimination in employment, housing, and the courts; the Organization’s nationwide efforts to assure women’s and girls’ access to comprehensive health information in federally funded programs; and its support of legislative initiatives to expand access to quality and affordable child care and early childhood education.
