Legal Momentum, the women’s legal defense and education fund, is pleased to announce the appointment of Silda Palerm as Legal Director.
Ms. Palerm is an attorney with a distinguished history in litigation and not-for-profit activities. For the last ten years, Ms. Palerm was the global head of litigation at Warner Music Group ("WMG"), one of the world's major music companies. From 2001 to 2007, Ms. Palerm was a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Women's Foundation, a foundation that gives more than one million dollars a year in grants to grassroots organizations that help and provide services to low-income women and girls in New York City. In December 2010, Ms. Palerm joined the board of directors of the John Jay College Foundation.
Ms. Palerm was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received her B.A. from Princeton University and studied law at the University of Puerto Rico (J.D.) and at Harvard Law School (LL.M).
