Seven new members will join the Cornell University Board of Trustees beginning July 1. At its May 25 meeting the board elected Kraig Kayser, MBA '84; John Megrue Jr. ’80; Padmasree Warrior ’82, M.Eng. ’84; and Laura Wilkinson, MBA ’85, J.D. ’86, to serve four-year terms. Nicole Bisagni DelToro ’91 and Susan Rodriguez ’82 have been elected by the alumni for four-year terms as alumni trustees. Ross Harel Gitlin ’15 was chosen by students to serve two years as an undergraduate trustee.

Kayser is president and CEO of Seneca Foods Corp. He is director and chair of the audit committee and a member of the nominating and governance committee of Moog Inc. and was a member of the Advisory Board of M&T Bank (Rochester Division) for 10 years. He serves or has served on the boards of trustees of the Harley School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. For Cornell, he served two terms as a member of the Advisory Council of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Megrue is CEO of Apax Partners, U.S., and sits on the boards of directors for many major retailers. An active champion for extreme poverty eradication and the development of global health systems, he leads the Business Leadership Council for a Generation Born HIV Free to help eliminate new HIV infections among children. He is also on the board of the Millennium Development Goals Health Alliance, and a director of Millennium Promise, which helps end extreme poverty through community-led development. He was a Cornell University Council member for two terms and has been a member of the Major Gifts Committee since 2005.

Warrior is chief technology and strategy officer at Cisco. She has been cited as one of the word’s most powerful or influential women by Forbes, Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal and The Economic Times. The recipient of many awards, she was inducted into the Women in Information Technology International Hall of Fame in 2007. She is an active member of the Engineering College Advisory Council.

Wilkinson is an antitrust partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Weil, Gotshal and Manges, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. She has served as deputy assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Competition and has received many awards for legal achievements and innovations. She is an active member of the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association. She has taught antitrust law at Howard University School of Law and serves on the board of directors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation and Legal Momentum – the Women’s Legal Defense and Education Fund. She is a member of the Cornell University Council, President’s Council of Cornell Women, Cornell Black Alumni Association and Cornell Law School Advisory Council.

DelToro is the founder and president of Andrews and Cole, LLC, a Washington, D.C., executive search and consulting firm. She has been assistant director for alumni affairs in Cornell’s southeast regional office, and currently serves as president of the Cornell Club of Washington, as a member of the Cornell University Council and the Cornell Entrepreneurial Network and co-chair of the Tower Club Annual Fund Regional Committee. She is an active participant in the Class of 1991 Reunion Campaign, serving twice as co-chair.

Rodriguez is a founding partner and design principal in Ennead Architects in New York City, and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. A specialist in designing schools, museums and public buildings, she lectures frequently and has taught architectural studios at Cornell, Columbia and City College. She was a Gensler Visiting Critic at Cornell in 2007. She has been a member of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning’s Advisory Council since 1999 and was chair in 2005-09, and has been a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women.

Gitlin is an ILR student with a minor in law and society.  He served on the Student Assembly for two terms, was elected to the Assembly’s executive board and served as vice president for outreach.  He has served on the University Assembly’s Infrastructure Committee and Cornell United Religious Work's’ Multifaith Advisory Council. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Pi, one of Cornell’s prelaw fraternities.

The board also re-elected trustees Jessica M. Bibliowicz ’81; Ronald McCray ’79; Armando Olivera ’72; William Perez ’69; Paul Salvatore ’81, J.D. ’84; M. Eileen McManus Walker ’76; Craig Yunker ’72; and Patricia Harris for new four-year terms.
