Concerned the trial court's decision to exclude football from its consideration of a Title IX case regarding the amount of money spent on men's and women's sports.

Female athletes at Washington State University filed a Title IX suit against the university for spending more on men's sports than on women's. The trial court excluded football from it calculations when it entered an injunction.

The Supreme Court of Washington held that football should not have been excluded from trial court's calculations for participation opportunities, scholarships, and distribution of non-revenue funds.
