Melissa DeRosa, Secretary to the Governor, joins forces with the New York State Council on Women and Girls to create a task force on domestic violence. The dramatic increase in the number of domestic violence cases seen since the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic is of particular concern. Lynn Hecht Schafran, legal director at Legal Momentum, will join the task force.
