Lauren Bunce

Lauren Bunce

Lauren Bunce is a junior double-majoring in English and Women’s Studies at Duke University. She is interested in the intersections of these two disciplines and how they are manifested in literature, philosophy, and education. Last year, Lauren co-edited The Archive Literary Magazine, Duke’s oldest student publication and the third-oldest literary magazine in the country! She is also a domestic violence crisis hotline advocate and an Undergraduate Writing Consultant at Duke’s Writing Studio.

Gender justice is important to Lauren because she believes that activism is more than an “us” versus “them” game, and she appreciates the National Judicial Education Program’s educatory approach to elucidating the realities of adult victim sexual assault and domestic violence in a system previously reluctant to reconsider its best practices. She is looking forward to a creative, collaborative summer at Legal Momentum!

Tania Lopez

Tania Lopez is a rising senior at the High School of Economics and Finance in New York, N.Y. She has volunteered at the Moody’s Summer Experience in her school, helping out the teachers with the incoming freshmen. In addition, she participated in the Junior Achievement Business Competition and created a proposal concerning a quality of life issue, competing against 10 other Quality of Life Proposals. In the future Tania would like to pursue a career in legal studies.
