Mireille Martineau joined Legal Momentum in October 2017 and serves as the Program Manager for Women’s Legal Resources. As Program Manager, Mireille oversees the intake and referral functions of the Helpline, a resource for women seeking information, assistance and referrals involving employment discrimination, campus sexual assault, and domestic violence. She works with Legal Momentum’s Legal Department to screen potential legal clients, coordinate pro bono legal assistance and provide quality service referrals. Mireille has more than 10 years of experience advancing social justice initiatives and increasing access to equitable services for low- and moderate-income communities in New York City. Prior to working at Legal Momentum, Mireille served as the Project Manager at the Muslim Women’s Institute for Research & Development (MWIRD), where she developed a culturally-sensitive toolkit geared towards Muslim women affected by HIV/AIDS. Mireille also served as the Deputy Program Director at the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, where she managed the organization’s recovery and resiliency housing programs. In that role, she oversaw the deployment of much-needed legal, financial, housing and resiliency counseling services to vulnerable homeowners affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Mireille received her Master of Urban Planning from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service in 2010 and received her Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in 2008.
