Development Associate

Malika works as the Development Associate at Legal Momentum where she oversees gift processing to interfacing with finance department system, executing major events, and stewardship, which include engaging with donors and managing communications.

 

Prior to Legal Momentum, Malika worked in the nonprofit sector for four years, in areas she is passionate about, such as education, women’s rights, and political activism. She has worked at leading nonprofits, such as UN Women and Udayan Care. Her primary areas of expertise include data management, event coordination, grant writing, and communications. Malika is well-versed in Raisers Edge, Salesforce, and DonorPerfect and maintaining data quality control on fundraising databases. Malika is experienced in running reports, queries, and data analyses to benchmark fundraising efforts that result in exceeding fundraising goals.

 

Malika received her BA Honors from Mount Holyoke College with a degree in International Relations and Architectural Studies. She also holds a graduate degree in International Relations with a specialization in Peace and Conflict Studies, with a special focus on women and children, from the University of St. Andrews. Malika is an active member of the Mount Holyoke College Club of New York City and serves on the Board of Directors.
