Prohibitions against Pregnancy Discrimination

It is an unlawful employment practice to discriminate based on sex.[1] This law has not been statutorily extended to pregnancy discrimination. However, the state courts did accept this argument in a case without analysis.[2]

Pregnancy Accommodation

Idaho does not provide additional protections to the federal law.

Pregnancy-related Disability Accommodation

Idaho does not specifically accommodate pregnancy or its attendant medical conditions as a disability.

Breastfeeding Rights

Idaho does not provide women an affirmative right to breastfeed in public or at work.

Family and Childcare Leave Laws

Idaho does not provide additional protections to the federal law.
