"It was a tremendous opportunity for the high school participants to hear from and personally interact with you, a New York City leader, as they develop into leaders themselves."
Legal Momentum's Rights Now! workshops empower young women of color to identify and respond to sexual abuse, violence and sex-based discrimination. This program is dedicated to centering the experience and leadership of young women of color.

Rights Now! is generously funded by the New York City Council's Young Women's Initiative.
Workshop Content
The Rights Now! curriculum comprises four workshops that can be presented individually or as a full program.
- Workshop 1: Power, Privilege, Oppression
- Workshop 2: Sex & Gender Based Discrimination
- Workshop 3: Healthy Relationships and Teen Dating Violence
- Workshop 4: Social Media and Cyber Abuse
At each workshop, Legal Momentum's Policy Fellow and Peer Educators work together to empower other young women. Peer Educators helped develop and shape every aspect of the program—from workshop curriculum to their own training.

Vulnerable teens and young adults have few resources and role models to look to for support and credible information
