The Legal Momentum Helpline is a free resource for those seeking information about their rights related to sex and gender discrimination, violence and harassment. As an impact litigation organization, Legal Momentum will take on representation of only a small number of clients every year.
Information shared during our assessment is strictly confidential. Contacting our Helpline does not establish an attorney-client relationship and we do not represent you unless mutually agreed upon. If we are unable to assist you directly, we will do our best to provide resources and referrals. We will provide general legal guidance if your request pertains to areas outside of our expertise.
We cannot assist with family law (e.g., divorce, custody, protective orders), general employment law, or housing law. These areas are outside of our expertise. If you are seeking a referral, utilize the bar association in your state to search for attorneys who practice in these areas.
We can help with the following areas:
• Nonconsensual drug testing of pregnant patients
• Discrimination at work based on being a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking
• Discrimination in pay/salary
• Noncompliance with pay transparency laws
• Discrimination at school based on being a victim of sexual assault, domestic violence or stalking
• Discrimination at school based on being pregnant or a parent
