The Rights Now! program is a peer education program that empowers youth to identify and respond to forms of discrimination and understand their rights while helping them to build leadership skills.
The Rights Now! curriculum is a series of workshops to educate youth on topics involving privilege, oppression, discrimination, healthy relationships, consent, and cyber abuse.
Rights Now! Peer Educators are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to become informed, empowered and active leaders in the program and within their communities.
Rights Now! workshops have been offered throughout New York City at leading organizations such as:
- Bella Abzug Leadership Institute
- CAMBA Collegiate Express
- Center for Anti-Violence Education
- Covenant House
- PowerPlay NYC
- Settlement Housing Fund
- Voces Latinas of Queens
- Women for Afghan Women
- YouthBridge Summit
We are grateful for these partnerships and would be happy to host a Rights Now! workshop at your New York City organization.
Rights Now! is generously funded by the New York City Council's Young Women's Initiative.
