Kristin Sverchek 

President
Lyft

Kristin Sverchek is the President at Lyft, a public transportation network company operating in hundreds of cities across the United States and Canada. She holds a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of Law). She began in private practice as a corporate transactional lawyer at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP., and was subsequently a Partner at Silicon Legal Strategy, P.C.

Kristin joined Lyft as General Counsel in 2012 where she led Lyft’s legal strategy. In the early days at Lyft, she was instrumental in advocating for and navigating the nation’s first-ever set of rules for transportation network companies. She later took the company public through an IPO in 2019. She built an exceptional legal team from the ground up, having successfully navigated a multitude of arenas: corporate and commercial transactions, employment, insurance, intellectual property, litigation, personal injury, privacy, and regulatory.

In November 2021, Kristin was promoted to President of Business Affairs, and in June 2023, she became President. She is responsible for unifying General and Administrative Central Functions to strengthen the company’s operational effectiveness and business enablement – Business Development, Partnerships, Legal, and Public Policy. Her organization functions as the company’s central nervous system, facilitating action, growth, and business outcomes across all lines of business at Lyft.

Kristin serves as a board member for Reading Partners, San Francisco Symphony’s Junior Committee, and the National Women’s Law Center and remains involved with her alma maters, UC Berkeley and UC Law San Francisco. She is a mother to three incredible children, and an active volunteer at her children’s schools.


Wanji Walcott

Wanji Walcott is the Chief Legal and Business Affairs Officer at Pinterest and is responsible for leading Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs & Policy, Philanthropy, ESG and Trust & Safety. As an experienced senior executive, Wanji advises the senior leadership and the board of directors and has extensive experience with corporate governance, fintech, technology & innovation, compliance, government relations, investigations, M&A talent management, and diversity. Prior to joining Pinterest, Wanji served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer at Discover Financial Services. Wanji also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel at PayPal and has also held positions at American Express, Lockheed Martin IMS Corporation and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.

She is on the board of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. Wanji also serves on the Frederick Gunn School board of trustees and on the Women’s Board of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Sarita A. Mohanty, MD, MPH, MBA

The SCAN Foundation

Sarita A. Mohanty serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The SCAN Foundation. The SCAN Foundation is an independent public charity that envisions a society where every older adult has the choices and opportunity to age well. Its mission is to ignite bold and equitable changes in how older adults age in both home and community. Previously, Sarita served as the Vice President of Care Coordination for Medicaid and Vulnerable Populations at Kaiser Permanente. Sarita was formerly Assistant Professor of Medicine at USC; Chief Medical Officer of COPE Health Solutions, a health care management consulting company; and Senior Medical Director at L.A. Care, the largest U.S. public health plan.


Sarita completed her Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. She earned her MD from Boston University, MPH from Harvard University, and MBA from UCLA. She completed undergraduate work at UC Berkeley. She currently is an Associate Professor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine and is a practicing internal medicine physician with Kaiser Permanente. Sarita enjoys international travel, tennis, and spending time with her husband, three kids, and her dog, Apollo.


Her professional journey encompasses a broad range of specialties, including utilization management, care coordination/case management, quality improvement, pharmacy, disease management, health services research, managed care health plan operations, health policy, social impact investing, and philanthropy. Notably, her areas of expertise lie in the integration and care coordination for Medicaid, Medicare, and vulnerable populations, as well as safety net systems of care. She is well-versed in addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH) and chronic disease management, with a particular focus on integrating physical health, behavioral health, and non-medical/social care needs.


In 2021, Sarita was appointed to sit on the Implementing the MPA in California Together (IMPACT) Stakeholder Committee, with membership representing diverse areas of expertise and experience in aging, disability, and racial justice programs, operations, services, and policy. In 2023, Sarita earned a position on ForbesWomen’s third annual 50 Over 50 list, produced in partnership with Mika Brzezinski and her Know Your Value initiative, of women creating their greatest impact at 50 and beyond. David Kelly 

Chief Legal Officer & Chief Business Officer
Golden State Warriors & Golden State Entertainment

David Kelly is in his 13th season with the Warriors, sixth as Chief Legal Officer and third as Chief Business Officer of Golden State Entertainment. In his current role, Kelly is responsible for all legal matters affecting the company (including transactions, disputes and compliance), and all business operations related to Golden State Entertainment. He manages player development, salary cap management and luxury tax planning for the team, oversees the organization’s human resources and public/governmental affairs departments, assists with college player scouting, and oversees many of the company’s key projects and initiatives on both the business and basketball sides of the company, including legal matters related to the real property acquisition, entitlement, construction and operation of Chase Center and ancillary mixed-use development in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood.


Kelly spearheaded the launch of Golden State Entertainment in early 2022. Golden State Entertainment (GSE) creates original content to tell compelling stories that are both rooted in and transcend the world of sports and entertainment. GSE produces documentaries, collaborates with recording artists on musical releases and marketing and sponsorship opportunities, and hosts culturally relevant events that speak to the Bay Area and the world. GSE is the entertainment and content vertical under the larger company umbrella that encompasses the six-time NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, Santa Cruz Warriors, Chase Center, the Golden Guardians and Warriors Gaming Squad.


Kelly joined the Warriors during the 2011-12 NBA season as vice president and general counsel. He was named general counsel and vice president, basketball management & strategy during 2016 and was then named chief legal officer, business and basketball in 2018.


Prior to joining the Warriors, Kelly was a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where he advised clients in connection with public and private acquisitions, securities law compliance, and corporate governance matters. Kelly also provided legal counsel to a variety of sports teams and related clients with respect to television, radio and internet rights agreements, arena/stadium matters, intellectual property issues, and sponsorship and naming rights agreements.

 

Kelly has a passion for music and his work as a musician has been featured on the CBS Evening News and CNN, and in Time Magazine, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune and the Wall Street Journal. He has released 8 albums and has toured in the United States, Canada, England, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal and Brazil.

 

A native of Chicago, Kelly earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College in 1996 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2004. He and his wife, Zeenat, have three children.
