Women seeking to return to work or pursue an education must have access to high quality, affordable child care.
Adding insult to injury, women, many of whom must prematurely return to work after having a child, typically lack access to high quality, affordable child care options and necessary workplace accommodations. For low-wage workers, child care costs generally exceed their incomes. We must increase funding and expand eligibility for subsidized child care assistance and create mechanisms to ensure that the private sector also provides such support.
